Los Angeles Fire Department firefighters, staff from Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center and representatives from the Walt Disney Company reunited on March 30 with L.A. resident Steven Shaw, whose life they helped save last December in front of the El Capitan Theatre. The reunion included El Capitan Theatre manager Michael Bandy and the first responders and hospital staff who helped save his life. Shaw (left) was with his wife when he collapsed on Hollywood Boulevard. Bandy and Stella Teachout, an off duty-nurse, helped the 78-year-old Shaw until paramedics arrived and rushed him to Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center. The LAFD presented Bandy and Teachout with a certificate of appreciation.
