An elderly defendant has been sentenced to more than 27 years to life in state prison for sexually abusing an 8-year-old girl while the victim and her family visited his home for a weekend, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced.

A jury found Robert Dean Lee, 86, guilty of four counts of committing a lewd act on a child, and one count each of oral copulation or sexual penetration with a child 10 years old or younger. Lee was also convicted of possession of child pornography. Deputy District Attorney Frank Dunnick, with the Victim Impact Program said Lee also was ordered to register as a sex offender.

The victim and her family stayed with the defendant and his wife from July 25, 2014 to July 28, 2014. Lee repeatedly sexually abused the girl and provided her with sex toys and a book on sexuality, according to evidence presented during trial.
