The New Urbanism Film Festival, a four-day event in October, is taking submissions for its film festival now through July 31.

Individuals can submit short films, mini-documentaries and features to be considered for screening.

Films will be seen by architects, designers, filmmakers, bureaucrats, artists and people who have an interest in making cities better.

Any film that deals with the evolution of towns and cities to cleaner, greener, healthier and happier communities is accepted. Fictional films that deal with growing interest in city life are also accepted.

Bicycling, public transit, community gardens, equity, equality, density, quality of life and neighborhood empowerment are just some of the subjects that fit into the festival’s theme.
