Join the National Council of Jewish Women, Los Angeles (NCJW/LA) on Sunday, April 3 for the first of six advocacy-training workshops.
Participants will be trained in building grassroots campaigns and will learn about effective policy advocacy. Other topics include outreach to legislators and how to make the most of relationships with elected officials. All of the workshops are held on Sundays from 2-5 p.m. Snacks and refreshments are included.
The April 3 workshop, “How to Advocate for Legislation,” will be led by social justice attorney Sandra Fluke and public affairs specialist Sara Mitchell, of the Planned Parenthood Advocacy Project, L.A. County. Additional workshops will be held on May 22, June 5, July 31, Aug. 28 and Sept. 25.
