The Greek Theatre, under Nederlander Concerts management, was again named North America’s “Best Small Outdoor Venue of the Year.” General manager Rena Wasserman was also named 2015 “Facility Executive of the Year” by Pollstar Magazine.
Nederlander’s and the Greek Theatre have won the award 15 times, including 12 wins in consecutive years. Rena Wasserman has won “Facility Executive of the Year” four times and has been nominated in each of the past seven years.
In 2015, Nederlander produced and promoted over 60 ticketed events at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, and several community events. Nederlander brought a variety of marquee artists to the venue such as Wilco, Damien Rice, Alabama Shakes, Twenty One Pilots, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Of Monsters and Men, Gloria Trevi and Jim Gaffigan, among others.
Nederlander also created memorable music moments at the venue such as Beach Boys co-founder, Brian Wilson’s birthday celebration, the 25th anniversary of Social Distortion’s self-titled album, the 20th Anniversary of Garbage’s debut album, plus the debut of several emerging artists including KYGO, Marina and the Diamonds, Shawn Mendes, Little Dragon, The War On Drugs and Walk The Moon.
Winners of Pollstar awards are selected by the international readership of Pollstar.
