The TCL Chinese Theatre IMAX invites the public to vote for their Oscar picks beginning today, Jan. 28.
The theater screens major IMAX films and is currently concluding a historic big screen showing of “Star Wars.” Ballots with categories for Best Motion Picture, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress will be handed out daily to moviegoers and visitors who tour the theater through Feb. 17. The results of the informal polling will be released on Monday, Feb. 22.
A select number of people who vote for winners will receive annual movie passes and other gifts.
The historic TCL Chinese Theatre dates back to 1927, and its VIP Theatre Tour has been expanded to include Oscar facts and trivia related to the historic movie venue. Three Oscar ceremonies – in 1944, 1945 and 1946 – were held at the TCL Chinese Theatre, which was known then as Grauman’s Chinese Theatre.
The TCL Chinese Theatre is located at 6801 Hollywood Blvd. For information, visit www.chinesetheatres.com.
