The Japan Foundation Los Angeles (JFLA) presents “Chromatic Passages,” a three-person exhibit of Los Angeles based painters running through Feb. 27.
“Chromatic Passages” features painters Kaoru Mansour, Shingo Francis and Devon Tsuno. Each painter explores color transitions through time, space, pattern and rhythm and uses movement of color to represent the changing character of landscapes.
The artists exhibit their relationship to space and form and invent different ways of organizing the pictorial field to construct the field of vision into a thematic range of light and color.
Exhibition hours will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon to 7 p.m., Wednesdays and Fridays from noon to 4 p.m. and Saturdays from noon to 4:30 p.m.
The exhibit is closed on Mondays, on Saturdays Jan. 30, Feb. 6 and 20 and Thursday, Feb. 11.
The exhibit is held at the JFLA Auditorium located at 5700 Wilshire Blvd. For information, visit www.jflalc.org.
