Pop icons help ring in 2016 at the Hilton’s New Year’s Eve celebration
Chris Isaacson Presents and the Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City are hosting “New Year’s Eve 2016: A Pop Rockin’ Celebration” on Thursday, Dec. 31. The celebration includes special guests Belinda Carlisle, Frenchie Davis, Rogelio Douglas Jr., David Hernandez, Maya and Jake Simpson performing hits from the 1980s to today, as well as new arrangements of favorites from the Great American Songbook and classic rhythm and blues. The festivities begin at 7 p.m. in the Hilton’s Sierra Ballroom.
The evening is a return to the traditional supper club experience. Ticket packages offer guests the option of a four-course dinner, pre-show artist meet and greet, premium top shelf bottle service at tables, or simply a ticket for the show. Regardless of the package, all patrons will have access to the Sierra Ballroom’s dance floor, concert and entertainment, bar, celebratory champagne toast, party favors, balloon drop and more.
Pop icon Carlisle co-founded The Go-Go’s, one of the most successful American bands of the 1980s, and followed that success with a chart topping solo career.
Davis is an “American Idol” alum who has also enjoyed a career on Broadway. Douglas, an actor, singer, songwriter and dancer, appeared in the film “Whiplash” and television shows such as “Orange Is The New Black” and Chicago PD.”
Hernandez received national attention as a finalist on “American Idol,” and later appeared on “The Ellen Degeneres Show,” “The Today Show” and MTV’s “TRL.” Maya was a favorite on “The Voice Australia-Season 2,” while Simpson received top honors in 2003 and 2004 on “Star Search.”
Ticket packages range from $87-$325; reserved tables that accommodate up to 10 people are $1,750. The Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City is located at 555 Universal Hollywood Drive in Universal City.
