The Los Angeles LGBT Center has extended its production of “Hit the Wall” to include Jan. 8, 10, 15, 16 and 17 at the Lily Tomlin/Jane Wagner Cultural Arts Center. The production is written by Ike Holterand, directed by Ken Sawyer and features music by music by Anna Waronker and Charlotte Caffey.
“Hit the Wall” is an immersive theatre experience set during the summer of 1969. In a dangerous mix of oppression and heat in New York City’s underground gay nightspot The Stonewall Inn, a routine police raid erupts into a full-scale riot, igniting the LGBT rights movement.
Tickets are $30. The Lily Tomlin/Jane Wagner Cultural Arts Center is located at the Village at Ed Gould Plaza, 1125 N. McCadden Place. For information, visit www.lalgbtcenter.org.
