The Music Center expands the third annual Grand Park and The Music Center’s New Years Eve L.A., a free event for all ages.
More than 50,000 people are expected to attend the alcohol-free, family-friendly event, which will now cover 90 acres, from The Music Center Plaza to City Hall (Hope Street to Main Street) and from Temple Street to Second Street.
Guests can dance to music on three stages with DJs and bands offering music in a range of genres.
Huge light projections will be displayed on three buildings, along with a spectacular 3D projection countdown to midnight on two sides of LA’s iconic City Hall.
New Year’s Eve revelers will also experience specially commissioned large-scale visual arts installations created by Los Angeles-based artists whose work will underscore the theme of connectivity to individuals and to locations across the globe.
Guests will enjoy fare from 30 different onsite food vendors and can capture their memories at free photo booths.
The event takes place Thursday, Dec. 31 from 8 p.m.-1 a.m..
