The Los Angeles Zoo, in partnership with the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) and the nonprofit organization Adopt a Charger, Inc., has announced the installation of one DC (direct current) Fast Charger and six Level 2 Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations in the zoo’s public parking lot.
The project, which began in May and was completed on Oct. 29, promotes sustainability and improved air quality while addressing the need for additional public EV charging stations throughout Los Angeles. The charging stations will be available during the zoo parking lot hours from 5:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. For information, visit www.ladwp.com/EV.
