Shimerman narrates “The Tell-Tale Heart” at EEK! at The Greek
“EEK! At The Greek!” has announced that actor Armin Shimerman, of “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine” and “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” will join Symphony In The Glen Orchestra to narrate Edgar Allen Poe’s “The Tell-Tale Heart.” The fifth annual show will take place on Saturday, Oct. 24 at the Greek Theatre.

Presented by Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, the family-friendly event will feature the 60-piece Symphony In The Glen Orchestra with Maestro Arthur B. Rubinstein performing a collection of favorites.
In addition, a “Trick-Or-Treat Village” will offer safe trick-or-treating and Halloween activities from 4:30-6:30 p.m., including arts and crafts, face painting, a costume contest and more.
This year’s musical program also includes Wagner’s “Ride of the Valkyries;” “Ghost Riders in The Sky” performed by the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles; and John Williams’s “The Devil’s Dance” from “The Witches of Eastwick.”
Shimerman is best known to television audiences as Quark on “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.” He has appeared on Broadway in Joe Papp’s “Three Penny Opera,” Circle-in-the-Square’s “St. Joan,” Richard Rodgers’ “I Remember Mama,” and George Abbott’s “Broadway.” As a voice-over artist, his work with the ensembles for Maltese Falcon and Zorro was nominated for Grammys.
