The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has charged two defendants with stalking a West Hollywood esthetician and soliciting men to rape her.
The defendants, Nicholas Prugo, 24, and Edward Feinstein, 31, have been charged with one count each of solicitation to commit sexual assault and three counts of stalking.
Prugo was taken into custody on Sept. 22. Feinstein, who was arrested on Sept. 15 and later released on $450,000 bail, is scheduled to be arraigned on Oct. 6.
Between Dec. 1, 2013, and April 1, 2014, Prugo and Feinstein allegedly participated in an ongoing scheme to harass esthetician Dawn Daluise and her two adult daughters. On Jan. 22, 2014, Prugo and Feinstein allegedly posted an ad on a website soliciting men to go to Daluise’s home to rape her.
Daluise, a former model and the owner of a West Hollywood skin care business, was acquitted in January of plotting to murder a rival who opened a skin care business near her shop at 8543 Santa Monica Blvd.
She was accused of attempting to hire an acquaintance in 2013 to kill the business owner because she mistakenly believed he had posted sexually explicit ads in her name. Authorities now believe Prugo and Feinstein were the individuals who posted the ads.
If convicted, Prugo faces up to 14 years in state prison because of a prior conviction. Feinstein faces up to seven years in county jail.
The case remains under investigation by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s fraud and cyber crimes investigators.
