Detectives with the Los Angeles Police Department’s Rampart Division are searching for four robbery suspects, two of whom were caught on surveillance camera video during an incident.
On May 17 at approximately 1:10 a.m., a victim was returning to a parked vehicle near 6th Street and St. Paul Avenue when he observed a Hispanic man closing the back door of the vehicle. The victim approached the suspect, who pulled out a knife and confronted the victim. The suspect then joined three other suspects nearby and ran away.
On May 18 at approximately 6:15 a.m., two of the same alleged suspects entered an underground parking garage in the 600 block of St. Paul Avenue through a garage door and broke into two locked vehicles. Once inside the vehicles, the suspects found spare keys and drove away. The vehicles were later found in a parking lot at White Memorial Hospital, east of downtown Los Angeles.
Two of the Hispanic male suspects were caught on surveillance camera video. One is approximately 25-35 years old, 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, 200 to 210 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes and a trimmed beard. He was wearing a blue sweatshirt with a blue shirt underneath, green cargo shorts and black and white Converse-style shoes.
The second is described as 20-25 years old, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall and 165 to 180 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes and was wearing a blue jacket with a while shirt underneath, blue jeans and white shoes.
The other suspects were described as Hispanic men, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, and wearing black hoodies. Video footage of the suspects is available at www.lapdonline.org. Anyone with information is urged to call (213)484-3629.
