Investigators with the Los Angeles Police Department’s West Bureau Homicide Division are searching for a suspect or suspects in a shooting that claimed a victim’s life in West Los Angeles.

The incident occurred on Wednesday, Aug. 26 at approximately 8:30 p.m. The victim, Gregory Jackson, 30, was in the 3100 block of Canfield Avenue when an unknown suspect fired several shots. Paramedics transported the victim to a hospital, where the victim later succumbed to his injuries.
