A matchup between four Los Angeles Unified School District City Section football rivals will be held on Saturday, Sept. 26 at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
In the first game at 11 a.m., Roosevelt High School faces Huntington Park High School. The game will be followed at 2 p.m. by a matchup between Hamilton High School, last year’s Division 2 winners, and Los Angeles High School, the defending Division 3 champions.
The games mark what the LAUSD hopes will become an annual event known as the “L.A. Coliseum Gridiron Clash.”
They also serve as fundraisers for the athletic departments of the participating schools.
The Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum is located at 3911 S. Figueroa St. Adult tickets are $12; $8 for children and students. Tickets can be purchased by calling (818)587-4363; through Ticketmaster by visiting www.ticketmaster.com, and at the coliseum’s will-call window.
