Cantor Estherleon Schwartz has announced that her 24-year-old grandson Max is currently engaged in “aliyah,” a Hebrew word describing a move to the State of Israel for religious study.

“[Max is a] poster child for Birthright in Israel. He found his heart in Israel after 24 years and is doing aliyah. I told him, the moment he lands and kisses the ground, something in your soul happens.”
