The Alzheimer’s Association, California Southland Chapter has announced that its inaugural Walk to End Alzheimer’s walk in the San Gabriel Valley will be held on Saturday, Aug. 29 at the Rose Bowl, 1001 Rose Bowl Drive, Pasadena.
The annual Los Angeles-area Walk to End Alzheimer’s will be held on Sunday, Nov. 8 in Century Park, 2000 Avenue of the Stars, Century City.
In addition to the 5K and 1K routes, Walk to End Alzheimer’s includes entertainment, food, awards and a family festival. Walkers who raise $100 receive a commemorative T-shirt. Prizes are offered for top fund-raising teams and individuals.
The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the nation’s largest event to raise awareness and funds to fight Alzheimer’s disease, the sixth leading cause of death in the U.S. Held annually in hundreds of communities across the country, the event involves people of all ages, including those living with the disease, families and caregivers, as well as corporate and community leaders.
