Police are searching for a suspect who attempted to abduct two children on Aug. 10 outside their residence in Koreatown.

The crime occurred at approximately 6:50 p.m. at an apartment complex in the 1700 block of South Westmoreland Boulevard. The victims, ages 2 and 3, were playing with approximately five other children in a courtyard of the complex when the suspect climbed over a fence and grabbed both victims and attempted to carry them away.

The other children screamed and the suspect dropped the victims and fled on foot. He is described as Hispanic, approximately 25 years old with black hair and brown eyes. The suspect was approximately 6 feet tall and 150 pounds, and was wearing a red T-shirt, blue jeans, white shoes, a wide brimmed hat and dark sunglasses. Additionally, the suspect was described as having blue dental braces.
