The Japan Foundation will host an extraordinary group of daidengaku, or traditional Japanese folk, dancers for Nisei Week in Little Tokyo beginning Aug. 23. In honor of the occasion, the foundation will hold a free workshop for those interested in learning the energetic and unique Japanese folk dance from the performers on Saturday, Aug. 22 at 1 p.m.Some participants will have the chance to wear authentic costumes and join the performers at Nisei Week.
