Kelly Services is accepting applications for its annual “Future Engineers Scholarship” – a $5,000 award that will be presented to one eligible undergraduate student in December.

The scholarship, which can be used for tuition, fees, books and room and board expenses for the 2016 school year, is awarded to a student based on a written essay, documented acceptance into a school of engineering, demonstrated academic success and an intention to pursue a career in the field of engineering.

The scholarship supports and encourages engineering students while increasing awareness of engineering as a career path with unlimited potential.

The submission deadline is Oct. 15. Consideration will be given to a candidate’s field of study and career objectives, as well as the extent to which the individual demonstrates the commitment and potential to make a significant contribution in their field.

Applicants must be a full-time student at the time of application submittal, pursuing a degree at an accredited institution of higher education in the United States or Canada in 2016, and be accepted into a school of engineering. Applicants must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher and hold second or third-year undergraduate status during 2016.
