Big Sunday is holding its annual Back-to-School Night on Thursday, Aug. 13 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. as part of its “Monthly on Melrose” series.

The special event will fulfill specific unmet needs at schools that serve low-income and special needs students. School supplies will be donated to Los Angeles High School, Venice High School, Berendo Middle School, Hamilton Middle School, Shenandoah Elementary School, Selma Elementary School and Western Avenue Elementary School.

Volunteers are sought to sort, count and pack the school supplies. Donations of pencils, backpacks, books and notebooks are also needed. The event will be followed by a community dinner.
