The Original Farmers Market, corner of 3rd and Fairfax, is holding its 7th annual “Taste of Farmers Market” on Tuesday, July 14 from 5 to 9 p.m.
Themed “Best Bites,” the Market’s special strolling tasting tour will feature samples of some of the best offerings from Farmers Market grocers, chefs, restaurants and specialty food merchants.
“The Taste of Farmers Market is one of our most-highly anticipated events each year,” Farmers Market marketing director Ilysha Buss said. “It allows our merchants to showcase some of their favorite, and many times most popular, offerings to a new audience of food lovers. We’re thrilled to be able to present this great event again this year, with a special ‘Best Bites’ theme.”
The inaugural “Taste of Farmers Market” was held in conjunction with the Original Farmers Market’s 75th Anniversary celebration, and the event has since become one of the Market’s signature celebrations. Longtime visitors will savor favorite foods, including Nutella crepes, buttermilk doughnut holes, New Orleans shrimp and Asian chicken rendang. First-time attendees can enjoy a tasting tour of the Market’s unique mix of cultures and cuisines. Vegetarian options are also available.
Advance admission to “Taste of Farmers Market” is $40; $45 at the door. Tickets are available at the Farmers Market Office, located at 6333 W. 3rd St., second level above Gate One, and by visiting www.farmersmarketla.com. A 10 percent discount is available for group purchases of 10 or more tickets. Admission also includes free parking in the Farmers Market lots or The Grove parking structure.
