The California Association for Coordinated Transportation (CalACT) recognized West Hollywood on Tuesday for its vision and leadership in public transit. CalACT is the largest state transit association in the United States, and the city was honored with the organization’s 2015 Leadership Award at a ceremony on Tuesday.
A successful transportation program identified by the award is West Hollywood’s TLC Program, which provides door-to-door dial-a-ride services to the city’s residents who most need them. City officials also noted that projects including Cityline, The Pickup and their pursuit of a citywide bike share program, helped win the award.
