West Hollywood is rolling out a new system for garbage and recycling along Santa Monica Boulevard sidewalks.
The city installed 18 Bigbelly solar-powered compacting containers, strategically located along Santa Monica Boulevard in heavily-walked spots between Doheny Drive and Fairfax Avenue.
The Bigbelly bins will simultaneously collect trash and recyclables. Bigbelly receptacles have been used in Glendale and Santa Monica, officials said. For information, call (323)848-6375.
