Beverly Hills is hosting a second community meeting to hear public input on potential impacts from construction of the La Cienega Metro Station, which is part of the Purple Line subway extension.
The meeting will take place on Thursday, March 26, from noon to 1:30 p.m. at La Cienega Park Community Center, 8400 Gregory Way.
City staff will provide an overview of how the La Cienega Station will be constructed. Officials said the community is encouraged to attend to learn about what to expect during construction and to provide input on permit conditions related to construction work hours/days, traffic, parking and utility service.
In the near future, the Beverly Hills City Council will review a potential agreement between the city and Metro to coordinate construction activities for the Wilshire/La Cienega station. As part of this review, the city council would like to hear feedback and comments from the community. City staff members will be available at the meeting to answer questions and record resident comments.
Free, two-hour parking is available at the La Cienega Tennis Center, located across the street from the Community Center at 325 S. La Cienega Blvd.
Limited street parking is available around La Cienega Park. For more information, visit the website www.beverlyhills.org/LaCienegaStation.
The current Metro Purple Line construction only includes work activities related to the Wilshire/La Cienega station. Construction for the Purple Line from La Cienega to Century City is not being reviewed at the meeting.
