Los Angeles Councilmen Paul Koretz (5th District), Tom LaBonge (4th District) and Mitch O’Farrell (13th District) recently honored the Junior League of Los Angeles and the Los Angeles Public Library at city hall, in recognition of their efforts and effectiveness in championing literacy.
The Junior League of Los Angeles is a women’s organization that promotes volunteerism and takes on educational and charitable causes, including a partnership with the Los Angeles Public Library to offer literacy events and programs that benefit many children and their families.
