Musical hit-maker Pharrell Williams was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame last Thursday and was joined by television personality, Ellen DeGeneres.

His star was unveiled just outside of The W hotel, with DeGeneres introducing the producer and singer.

Williams currently acts as a judge on the hit television show “The Voice”. He came up through the music industry first as part of the producing group The Neptunes, with his friend Chad Hugo. He also was a member of the band N.E.R.D.

Williams has helped pen and produce a number of top musical hits since the 1990s, including Justin Timberlake’s “Like I Love You”; Britney Spear’s “I’m A Slave 4 U”; Jay-Z’s “I Just Wanna Love U (Give it 2 Me); Nelly’s “Hot in Herre”; Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines”; and Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky”.

He has won seven Grammy Awards, including 2014’s Producer of the Year award. In 2014, he also received an Academy Award Nomination for his original song “Happy”, which was featured in the animated film “Despicable Me 2”.
