The Original Farmers Market, corner of 3rd and Fairfax, is celebrating its 80th holiday season with music and fun activities, a family Hanukkah celebration and the Dickensian carolers.

The holiday activities kick off Friday, Dec. 19 and run through Dec. 24. The entertainment includes strolling carolers, a jazz trio, country band, the “Mele Kalikimaka” Holiday Hula Show, the Beverly Belles Santa Baby Show, the Nic & Kid Holiday Show, a calypso band and a strolling brass band.

A Hanukkah celebration will be held on Sunday, Dec. 21, with a dreidel making workshop, face painting, a performance by Jewish rapper Etan G, and the construction of a giant menorah made of balloons.

The Market will also celebrate New Year’s with another long-standing tradition, the arrival of thousands of Rose Bowl fans who gather at the Market before and after the big game.
