Transgender Day of Remembrance was observed all across the world on Nov. 20, including a candlelight vigil that evening in West Hollywood.

The city’s transgender advisory board hosted an event that included speakers from the community, city representatives and various transgender performers. The evening concluded with the reading of the names of transgender people who have passed due to transgender hate crimes.
