A 24-year-old suspect has been arrested for the early morning stabbing and murder on Nov. 5 of a victim in Koreatown.
The incident occurred at approximately 3 a.m., when officers assigned to Los Angeles Police Department’s Olympic Division responded to a call of an assault with a deadly weapon in the 200 block of Serrano Ave. The officers found the victim, identified as 32-year-old Los Angeles resident Luis David Lazcano, lying in the street.
Paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. Investigators identified numerous witnesses, who provided information that led them to the suspect, Miguel Gonzalo Jimenez Jr., of East Los Angeles. The suspect was arrested and booked for murder, and his bail was set at $1 million.
