Tortilla Republic West Hollywood has launched two new lunch menus named Short n’ Sweet and Relax & Rita, catering to hurried professionals as well as diners with time to spare. The Short N’ Sweet menu is priced at $15 per person and includes a salsa trio or guacamole, and a main course. The menu includes a quesadilla with mushrooms, and a chicken torta made with crispy breaded chicken breast, black beans, chipotle aioli, cheddar cheese, cilantro crema and guacamole. Items from the Short N’ Sweet menu are guaranteed to be served within 15 minutes after being ordered, and are available for up to four diners. If the time frame is not met, lunch will be complimentary. The Relax & Rita menu is priced at $24 per person and includes a house or jalapeño margarita, a salsa trio or guacamole, and any lunch entrée from the traditional menu. Barlo Kitchen & Cocktails, a hot spot at the Hotel Erwin in Venice, has a new menu by executive chef Adam Steudle with eclectic selections for fall. Steudle is also making a rabbit and marrow pie, and all proceeds from sales of the dish will be donated to the Movember Foundation, which raises funds for men’s health programs. The O Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles has opened a wine bar in its cellar featuring more than 50 wines and varieties of grape-based spirits such as pisco, brandy and cognac. House made items on the menu include charcuterie, jarred rillettes, patés, tartines and desserts. The setting is perfect for pouring, swirling and toasting. Guests sit at communal tables and in comfortably furnished nooks in an atmosphere with soft lighting and rustic wooden elements.
