More than 1,000 pets will be available for adoption at the No Kill Los Angeles (NKLA) Adoption Weekend on Saturday, Nov. 8, and Sunday, Nov. 9, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the La Brea Tar Pits. The NKLA Adoption Weekend is part of Best Friends Animal Society’s “Super Adoption” series. Entertainment and food trucks are offered at the free, family friendly-event, and visitors are welcome to bring dogs on leashes. Adoptable pets will be available from more than 50 local shelters and rescues. Adoption fees are as low as $50, and all pets are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped.
