The Los Angeles Police Department has received a $100,000 grant from the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) for the enforcement of alcohol-related violations in Los Angeles.
Capt. Kelly P. Mulldorfer, commanding officer of LAPD’s Detective Support and Vice Division, said that the funds will be used to assist the LAPD in reducing the negative effects of alcohol-related crimes and to improve the quality of life in and around ABC-licensed establishments. The grant assistance program has augmented LAPD resources over the past 18 years, and has been directly responsible for closing more than 100 problematic locations.
