The original and largest Asian-themed night market in the U.S. is holding a food and entertainment festival on Friday, July 18 and Saturday, July 19 from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. The founders of 626 Night Market were inspired by the popular night markets in Asia, and created a place where people of all ages could gather, socialize and explore local foods. Hollywood Bowl
Guests are invited to bring a picnic or order a Patina Restaurant Group dinner and listen to music from DreamWorks Animation movies on Friday, July 18 and Saturday, July 19 during a program celebrating 20 years of film. Music from “Shrek”, “How to Train Your Dragon”, “Madagascar” and “Kung Fu Panda” will be performed, and DreamWorks Animation’s stories and characters will join in the fun. Wirtshaus Offers Free Beer
Wirtshaus, one of Los Angeles’ most popular German restaurants and biergartens, will celebrate its third anniversary on Saturday, July 19 with free beer from a ceremonial keg for guests who purchase an entrée. Wirtshaus will offer a special on their signature “Wirtshaus Schnitzel” made with breaded, sauteed pork and topped with garlic cream sauce and a fried egg. Country music lovers are invited to Open Air Kitchen + Bar in West Hollywood for country music night every Thursday. Victor Drai’s Sunset Plaza steakhouse, Rare, is now open on Sunday nights, and is launching a new bar/patio menu with a series of weeknight events. Executive chef Patrick Florendo is introducing “no corkage on Mondays”, when guests can bring their favorite wines and enjoy them in Rare’s dining room and patio. “Rare Uncork’d” on Tuesday evenings offers an extensive wine menu that pairs with the steak and seafood. Rare also presents a selection of fine wines available for 50 percent off on Wednesday and Thursday nights. Hand-selected oysters and caviar are paired with Piper Champagne.
