Actress Melissa McCarthy put her hand and footprints in the history books on July 2, when she was recognized in the forecourt of the TCL Chinese Theatre. The ceremony was hosted by actress Susan Sarandon and actor Ben Falcone. An Illinois native, McCarthy began her career as a stand-up comedian before appearing in TV shows and films such as “The Life of David Gale”, “Gilmore Girls”, “Pretty Ugly People”, “Bridesmaids”, “This Is 40”, “Identity Thief”, “The Hangover Part III”, “The Heat”, “Mike & Molly” and “Tammy”, which opened nationwide on July 2. The theatre is located at 6925 Hollywood Blvd.
