Prosecutors have filed a criminal case against a man accused of carrying out a one-day crime spree on Dec. 22 involving four victims, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has announced.

Prosecutors claim that on Dec. 22, Jason Faison stole a pick-up and robbed a man at knifepoint at a gas station at an undisclosed location in Los Angeles. The defendant allegedly later robbed a female victim at an undisclosed restaurant and, when confronted, reportedly jumped into the stolen vehicle and accelerated, striking and injuring a male victim.

Faison later allegedly followed another female victim to her home in West Los Angeles, and allegedly stabbed and robbed the victim. The case remains under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department.

Faison faces 11 felony counts, including two counts each of second-degree robbery and identity theft; and one count each of attempted murder; assault with intent to commit a felony; first-degree residential burglary, person present; first-degree residential robbery; assault with a deadly weapon; unlawful driving of a vehicle; and receiving stolen property.

The complaint also alleges that the defendant used a knife and a car as deadly and dangerous weapons and that Faison personally inflicted great bodily injury on one of the victims.

The criminal complaint includes a prior felony conviction in 2012 in Los Angeles County for first-degree burglary.

The defendant pleaded not guilty on Dec. 26 in the Los Angeles County Superior Court’s Airport Branch. His bail was set at more than $1.4 million.
