The case filed against the Beverly-Wilshire Homes Association (BWHA) has been continued until April 10, when a case management conference has been scheduled, according to the Los Angeles Superior Court website.
BWHA president Diana Plotkin, former treasurer Lenore Sachs and the association itself are named as defendants in the case. They are being represented by attorneys Matthew Taylor and Cary Wood.
Representing the plaintiff, Stan Brent, who said he is a former BWHA board member, is attorney Donald Karpel.
Brent’s lawsuit has alleged that the association was giving favorable recommendations to businesses applying for permits, variances and licenses in exchange for financial support. A jury trial has been demanded.
The case management conference had been scheduled for April 3. The case is being heard in the Beverly Hills courthouse.
