The Fat Dog-Hollywood and Avery Brewing Company join forces to present four of Avery’s characterful brews, paired with Chef John Gladish’s modern comfort menu items in a night of ‘Bites and Flights’ tonight, Feb. 28 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Some of the dishes include grilled Kielbasa sausage with smoked gouda and caramelized onions on a French roll; Avery white rascal braised PEI mussels, with grilled ciabatta, scallions; and chili and short rib French dip with Gruyere cheese and beer battered onion rings. Calling Kings Fans
The “Feast fit for a King” Benefit will be held at Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar at L.A. LIVE on March 10. Hockey fans can sit down to lunch with the LA Kings players, along with the team’s mascot, Bailey. Lunch is from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and includes a four-course surf and turf feast, featuring Krupp Brothers wine. Players will rotate between tables to visit guests. Chef Walter el Nagar (Michelin-starred La Botte) and partner Mario Vollera (Piccolo Venice; Antica Pizzeria), have taken over the former A.O.C. restaurant space. On Wednesday, March 6 Chef Kevin Meehan (Kali Dining) will be working with Chef el Nagar on an eight-course prix fixe menu priced at $110. On Friday, March 8, Andy Lynch from Wine Without Walls will be a guest sommelier conducting wine pairings. Starting March 1, the Burger of the Month is a Drunken Steak Sandwich. The sandwich is made with choice 7 oz. New York strip steak infused with a Guinness and molasses marinade.
