A second suspect wanted in a shooting on La Cienega Boulevard that seriously injured two people was arrested on Jan. 26 by officers from the LAPD Wilshire Division’s Special Problems Unit.
The suspect, Ashlee Beidleman, was taken into custody at an undisclosed location in south Los Angeles as an accessory to the shooting on Jan. 5 outside a pawnshop in the 1500 block of S. La Cienega Boulevard, just south of Olympic Boulevard. Beidleman was allegedly with the primary suspect, Antwuan Marquis Giddens, 26, when he allegedly shot a male and female victim sitting in a car in front of the pawnshop. Det. Ronald Cade, of the LAPD’s Wilshire Division, said Giddens and the male victim knew each other growing up in Inglewood, and the suspect blamed the victim for burglarizing his apartment six months earlier. Giddens has been in custody since he was arrested on Jan. 5 at a residence in Inglewood.
The male victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the torso and is recovering. The second victim was struck by gunfire, but treated at the hospital and later released. The names of the victim were not released.
