Professional golfer K.J. Choi (center), of South Korea, appeared at a ceremony Monday at the Jaseng Center for Alternative Medicine on Olympic Boulevard to sign a contract designating Jaseng as an official medical sponsor for PGA players. Choi, who has eight PGA wins and 18 wins in professional golf tournaments worldwide, was joined at the ceremony by PGA golfer Jamie Lovemark (left) and Dr. Joon-shik Shin, founder and president of the Jaseng Center. Choi said he sought treatment at the center for back pain two-and-a-half-years ago, and it helped him tremendously with his game.
“After I play golf, I get a lot of pain in my back, and they tried to help with massage, but acupuncture goes deeper to the spine,” Choi said. “After acupuncture, I feel one hundred percent better.”
The Jaseng Center, located at Olympia Medical Center, provides non-invasive treatments for spine and joints conditions. Its physicians integrate Korean Eastern medicine with Western science, and offer acupuncture, herbal medicine, chiropractic treatment and physiotherapy. The center is located at 5901 W.
