On Monday, Koreatown and Los Angeles community and government leaders celebrated the completion of $4 million in street-scaping work on Olympic Boulevard, designed to create jobs, improve pedestrian safety and comfort, and reflect the thoroughfare’s Koreatown surroundings. The project involved the construction of four entry gateways, three landscaped media islands, decorative crosswalks at five major intersections and improvements to 12 bus stops. Improvements included 80 trees, 70 benches and 40 trashcans.
