A burglary was attempted at Hueners Jewelers, 7902 Santa Monica Blvd., in West Hollywood on Tuesday.

According to Lt. Lajuana Haselrig, of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s West Hollywood station, the investigation is ongoing. However, no property has been reported stolen, and no suspects have been apprehended.

“They’re still putting the pieces together,” Haselrig said.

Police received a phone call from the owner of Hueners after the suspect or suspects attempted to gain entry into the business at Santa Monica Boulevard and Fairfax Avenue, Haselrig said.

She said a police helicopter, patrol officers and at least one K9 unit were dispatched.

“We did not have a delayed response,” Haselrig said.

Hueners Jewelers co-owner Sofia Goukasian said the suspect or suspects tried to break into the business’ vault, but were not able to get into the store.

“I guess we were lucky,” Goukasian said, adding that the business is still secure and up and running. “Everything is OK.”
