Investigators with the Los Angeles Police Department’s Wilshire Division are asking for help in identifying a suspect who robbed a doughnut shop in the 1200 block of South La Brea Avenue on May 3, and whose image was caught on surveillance video.
The suspect entered the 24-hour doughnut shop around 4:30 a.m. carrying what appeared to be a guitar case. The suspect placed the guitar case on the counter and demanded money from an employee. Fearing that the suspect had a weapon inside of the case, the employee gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect fled in an unknown direction, and nobody was injured.
The suspect is described as being an African American man approximately 30 to 35 years old, with black hair and black eyes. He was approximately five-feet-ten-inches tall and weighed around 180 pounds. Investigators believe that someone can identify this suspect based on his unique look.
