Bazaar Helping Japan

Breadbar Soba Workshop
This Saturday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. food author and respected soba maker, Sonoko Sakai is offering a Soba class for noodle aficionados. Learn how to make healthy and flavorful soba noodles made with organic stone-milled Dattan and Japanese buckwheat flours. The three-hour session teaches 12 guests how to knead and hand cut the perfect noodle. At the end there will be a soba tasting of four varieties with dipping sauces, medley of vegetables and dessert. The cost is $125 with a portion of the proceeds to be donated to the Japan Sake Organization Relief fund for sake brewers who suffered damage from the recent earthquake and tsunami.
