Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s West Traffic Detectives are seeking information about a hit and run driver who killed a motorcyclist in West Los Angeles on March 19.

The collision occurred around 3:05 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a collision at Jefferson Boulevard and Mesmer Avenue and found an unconscious man lying on the ground near a fallen motorcycle. Fire department personnel responded and transported the man to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The victim was later identified as Robert Antonio Guerra.

An investigation determined that an unknown driver traveling westbound on Jefferson Boulevard in a 2007 BMW struck Guerra while turning southbound on Mesmer Avenue.
