Actor and comedian Adam Sandler received the 2,431st star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Feb. 1 in the category of Motion Pictures. The ceremony coincided with the release of his new film, “Just Go With It”, on Feb. 11.
Sandler has starred in numerous films, including “Happy Gilmore”, “Little Nicky”, “Billy Madison”, “Big Daddy”, and “The Waterboy”, and his films have grossed more than $3 billion worldwide. He began his career at age 17, with a performance at a Boston comedy club, and later performed regularly throughout Massachusetts. While performing stand up comedy, he was spotted by actor and comedian Dennis Miller and was recruited to join “Saturday Night Live”, on which he was a regular for five seasons. Later this year, Sandler will lend his voice for the comedy, “Zookeeper”. Sandler’s star is located at 6262 Hollywood Blvd.
