A suspect who robbed a female victim in her home in the West Los Angeles area is being sought by Los Angeles Police Department investigators.
The incident occurred on Dec. 6 around 11:15 p.m. The victim had returned to her home located in the 8100 block of Westlawn Avenue, and as she rested on her couch, a male suspect confronted her at gunpoint. When the victim began to scream, the suspect grabbed her by the hair and threw her to the floor. The suspect then fired one round from his handgun towards the victim. Alerted by the sound of gunfire and screams, the victim’s husband entered the room and distracted the suspect, allowing the victim to run outside and call for help. The suspect then fled the location.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian man around 18 to 20 years old, approximately six-feet to six-feet-two-inches tall and 170 to 185 pounds. The suspect had blue eyes, and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and a ski mask with cutouts for the eyes and mouth. The suspect left the location in a 2000-2004, American-made sedan.
