The Hollywood Christmas Parade is coming to town on Sunday, Nov. 28. City Councilmember Tom LaBonge (left), 4th District, joined William Lomas, president of the Hollywood Santa Parade LLC, Santa Claus and City Council President Eric Garcetti, 13th District, to encourage people to attend.
The parade, which begins at 6 p.m., will travel on a U-shaped route starting at Orange Street and Hollywood Boulevard and traveling east to Vine Street. The parade will then head south on Vine Street to Sunset Boulevard, and head back west to Orange Street. CNN broadcaster Larry King will be the grand marshal, and the parade will also feature a procession of floats, celebrity appearances and more. Actors Laura McKenzie and Erik Estrada will host the event. Other celebrities will include cast members from ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Modern Family”. Kyle and Christopher Massey will serve as roving reporters.
The parade will be taped for a national broadcast on Dec. 10 on the Hallmark Channel, and broadcasts will continue throughout December. Proceeds from the sale of grandstand seating will benefit Marine Toys for Tots. Reserved grandstand seating is available within Associated Television International’s live set area located on Hollywood Boulevard between Orange Street and Highland Avenue. Tickets are $35.
