On Tuesday, the Los Angeles City Council offered a reward of $50,000 for information leading to the identification and arrest of the person responsible for the murder of Eddy Hernandez.
On January 26, Hernandez was found lying in the street in the 3700 block of S. Main St., dead as the result of a gunshot wound.
Hernandez was deaf, as is most of his family, and he had served as a coach to deaf members of the Fairfax High School baseball team, including team star Anthony Gianelli.
Hernandez had no known gang ties, and was an active member of the deaf community.
